Kentucky Food Stamp Allotment

Kentucky Food Stamp Allotment benefits is based on the number of people per household. Kentucky residents in need of Food Stamp (SNAP) benefits must first qualify for food stamp benefits. The dollar amount or (allotment) that the household gets is determined yearly by US Department Of Agriculture – USDA. The net monthly income of the Kentucky household is multiplied by .3, and the result is subtracted from the maximum allotment for the household size to find the household’s allotment. This is because SNAP (Food Stamp) households are expected to spend about 30 percent of their resources on food.
