It can be frustrating if you are experiencing difficulty getting in touch with the appropriate agency or receiving a response to your food stamp assistance application. There could be a number of reasons why you are not receiving a call back or assistance, such as high call volume, delays due to staff shortages, or issues with your application.
You can try reaching out to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) again and ask to speak to a supervisor. Explain your situation and ask for help in resolving the issue. Provide your son’s name, case number (if you have one), and contact information.
You may also want to try contacting the agency by email or mail, or visiting an office in person if possible. Some offices are open for limited hours or by appointment only due to the pandemic.
In the meantime, you can also look for other assistance programs in your area that may be able to provide your son with food assistance. Organizations such as food banks, soup kitchens, and other charities may be able to help. You can also reach out to your community center or local churches for assistance.
