I need to talk to somebody about renewing my IL food stamps

Q) I need to talk to somebody I don’t know my case manager who my case manager is I don’t know I changed my address but I haven’t got a letter or anything to keep my food stamps on so I’m going to make sure that I didn’t send out a letter stating that I have to renew so I need to talk to somebody to find out if they have my address changed on there in about renewing my IL food stamps

A) To find out who your case manager is and to discuss your concerns about your food stamp renewal and change of address, you should contact the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) which is responsible for administering the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in the state.

You can contact IDHS by phone, email, or by visiting a local office in person. To find the nearest office, you can use the office locator tool on the IDHS website or call the toll-free number at 1-800-843-6154.

When you speak to a representative, explain your situation and let them know that you need to find out who your case manager is and confirm that your address has been updated. They can assist you with locating your case manager and checking the status of your renewal.

If you need to provide any documentation to support your address change or renewal, make sure to ask what is needed and how to submit it. The representative can also answer any other questions you may have about your SNAP benefits.
