Hi. I can’t get in touch with anyone at DHS.. I have not received anything for August 1

Q) Hi. I can’t get in touch with anyone at DHS regarding my food stamps. I’ve been getting benefits and reapplied to continue this July 2018. I have not received anything for August 1 and want to know if there is a problem. It’s impossible to talk to anyone since there’s usually 100 people ahead of me for a phone call. My messages are not returned as well. Can you help with this. Thank you very much.

A) You may consider visiting your local food stamp office if you are unable to endure the long phone wait.

If you’re under the age of 18 and living with your family, then your family has the right to apply for food stamps if the household income falls below the program poverty wage limit.
