I signed up for food stamps online..I need food stamps.

Q) I signed up for food stamps online. I am 66 years old and have not worked at all this year because I got covid in January was in hospital. On oxygen still. I need food stamps. I’m on ss and a small retirement

A) I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling. I am glad that you have applied for food stamps. I hope that you are approved and that the benefits help you to get back on your feet.

Here are some things that you can do to help you get through this difficult time:

  • Apply for other forms of assistance, such as Medicaid or unemployment benefits.
  • Contact your local food bank or soup kitchen. They may be able to provide you with free or low-cost food.
  • Contact your local 211 service. 211 is a free service that can connect you with resources in your community, including food banks, soup kitchens, and other programs that can help you.

I hope that this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
