I wanted to report some one for food stamp fraud..

Q) I wanted to report some one for food stamp fraud that’s been going on for a while. This person’s husband is the only person that lives with her and he owns the property and she has never paid anything for lot rent. Her children; two girls live with her aunt but she claims she’s responsible for providing their food.

A) The USDA Food and Nutrition Service states on their website that they will take aggressive measures to fight fraud. They appreciates when fraud is reported. Fraud reports of any kind may be filed with the USDA Office of Inspector General.

You can also report fraud to your state. This is especially important if you think someone has lied about their income or assets or is misusing their benefits. Your report is confidential.

  1. I have had my work hours dramatically reduced since March 09, 2020. I have fully exhausted my regular ui benefits and have received a letter if ineligibility for the PEUC. However, I meet all criteria and have filed an appeal and reconsideration. The CARES ACT is an emergency fund intended for those most impacted by covid 19 and the effects it has in each community. In Hawaii I am a Hospitality Hotel worker, a proud Local5 union member and I am in dire need of financial, rental,, and food assistance. My claim has been denied. Yet, 2020 has not yielded a similar income to that of 2019, gained thru my employment. I have relied on these emergency funds and have met all criteria set forth by the state of Hawaii. State, will u not malama na keiki o ka aina?
Mahalo for all that has been done in the midst of the Global Pandemic.
