Q) i got my letter over 2 weeks ago saying i was approved for food stamps & told me the amounts but i still have not got my ebt card in the mail yet. i call the county & they tell me it was mailed but i need help. i am 8 1/2 months pregnant & no job. i need these food stamps badly
A) If you’ve been approved for food stamps but have not received your EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card, there are a few steps you can take:
- Contact the agency that approved your food stamps. They should be able to give you information about when your EBT card was sent out and how long it typically takes to receive it. They may also be able to issue you a new card if it was lost or stolen.
- Check your mail and make sure your address is up to date. If your EBT card was mailed to the wrong address, it may have been returned to the agency or lost in the mail.
- Be patient. It can take several days or even a couple of weeks for your EBT card to arrive in the mail. However, if it has been significantly longer than the time frame the agency provided you with, it may be worth following up again.
- Consider following up with your local post office. If your EBT card was sent out but hasn’t arrived yet, it’s possible that it got lost in the mail. You can contact your local post office and ask if they have any information about the status of your card.
I also recommend that you visit your local benefits office as soon as possible and request assistance on getting your benefits. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best in receiving your EBT card soon.

I’ve,waited for my card to arrive for over a month, closer to two months actually.
I wanted to know if I could get an appointment with a case worker,ASAP
The mailing address I have stated to receive mail at,turns out the resident/friend has been evicted.
So I have no way to check the mail.
I’m actually worried that in their desperate state they might try to use it fraudulently.
So if you could please help me with an interview with a case worker so I can get this resolved.
